If I feel The Catalyst is the right fit for your business, I’ll send the link to book a free connection call. We’ll have a quick 20 minute chat to make sure we’re a good fit for each other. If we are and you’re ready to book, I’ll send the next steps to secure your website design start date.
A deposit of £500 is due to secure your project start date.

Before we begin
You’ll gain access to your project dashboard in Notion where you’ll receive detailed onboarding questionnaires, gather your content, and fill in a website copywriting guide if you’re not working with a copywriter.
Note: Branding and website copy must be ready to use before your project start date.

We’ll kickoff your project with a 45-60 minute call and you’ll tell me all the details about your business, your goals, your story, your audience, and where you envision your business is going next.
By the end I’ll have everything I need to make the most intentional design decisions throughout your project, so your website does more than just sit looking pretty.

Starting with the Homepage and working my way through the rest of your pages as the week goes on, you’ll see your website vision come to life through a collaborative process.

You’ll need to gather your website images and copy before any design work starts.
You’ll be given my website copywriting guide if you’re not working with a copywriter, which will need to be filled in before any design work starts.
Done-for-you copywriting is also available as an add-on (which I highly recommend as writing your own website copy can be tough!)
To launch your website, you’ll need to purchase your own Squarespace hosting and subscription, domain hosting, and set up your business email address.

I use Squarespace for all client sites. If you’re not running a complicated business, your website doesn’t need to be complicated either. I’ve found Squarespace to be the most accessible, secure and user-friendly platform that’s easy for clients to maintain.
I don’t design in Wix as it’s an Israeli-owned company. If your business is more complex and requires a platform like Wordpress, I can recommend other designers to get in touch with.

Once we set a start date and you’ve signed the contract, a non-refundable £500 deposit will be required to secure your project spot.
The remaining cost will be split evenly across 3 months, or you can pay in full. Note that while you’ll gain access to your website by the end of your project, admin ownership will not be transferred to you until full payment has been received.

I handle the foundational stuff like using proper heading structures, page titles, meta descriptions, giving each page a proper URL, and ensuring images have alt text added.
I don’t do advanced keyword research or any in-depth SEO strategy. I do however know some awesome people who are experts in this that I can refer you to.

This isn’t my wheelhouse, but you have two options available:
Hire a professional copywriter to write your copy before we start designing. I know some incredible copywriters I can refer you to/bring into your project.
You’ll have access to my website copywriting guide to DIY your copy. I won’t write it for you, but I can help you structure it as you’ll have prompts to guide you. Plus as we’re using a website template as the foundation, you’ll have a visual of what your copy could look like (which past clients have found really helpful!)

You don’t need to be glued to your desk every single day, but you need to be responsive and not incredibly busy or out of office. This process requires both of us to show up.
I’ll send a video walkthrough of your website in progress at the end of each day, and will need your feedback by the next morning. If you don’t send it on time, the process quickly falls apart.

Nope - I always end up building lots of custom sections, and treat the template as a starting point, not the final design.

Absolutely! You’ll get video tutorials and 30 days of post-launch support. Plus Squarespace is designed to be user-friendly so you don’t need to rely on me for future updates (unless you want to!)
Some clients come back to me for a design day when they want new sales pages, design updates or some lighter refreshes they don’t want to do themselves. Once we’ve worked together, you get a discount on your design day.
