Frequently Asked Questions
-
1-2 months in advance if you can. This will give you enough time to gather your website copy, brand photos and ask any important questions you may have before your project begins.
-
I love working with service-based small business owners and creatives that are ready to commit and invest in their business in order to evolve to the next level. You’re passionate about making a positive impact on your target audience’s lives, you value taking a collaborative, strategy-driven approach to design work, and you want to aim for creating with intention over creating something that just "looks pretty".
-
Each package has a starting price that you can view on the Services page.
-
I do indeed! All projects require a 50% non-refundable deposit when booking, with the remaining 50% split into monthly installments. All payment is due before the end of the project, and before any final files are sent across. You also have the option to pay the balance in full at the start of your project.
-
Timelines will differ depending on what your project needs are. Typically, projects range anywhere between 2-8 weeks.
-
I use the project management tool Asana to communicate with my clients, as it’s easy to see at a glance the project timeline, deadline dates and tasks to complete. Using Asana also means avoiding the dreaded long email threads, and it's clearer to check how far along we are in a project.
-
Please discuss this when requesting a quote if you have an exact deadline date in mind, as I'll need to check my availability at the time of booking. Depending on what your needs are, your project may be suitable for a Two-Week Website.
-
For now, yes. Due to its user-friendly interface, I've found it to be the perfect solution for business owners that want to be able to update their website without needing to hire a developer or designer to do it for them regularly. Have a read through my blog post to find out more about why Squarespace is my website platform of choice.
-
Yes. It's important that all of your copy and images are ready to go by the time we start working on your website. No design work will begin until the content has been supplied, and if the project ends up being delayed you may need to rebook, paying another non-refundable deposit for a new design slot.
-
No as these will need to be purchased by you separately before launching. You can view the monthly/annual costs of the different Squarespace plans here. For small businesses, I recommend the Business Plan.
-
That’s the beauty of starting with strategy! Before any design work is started, we'll work together to define your brand strategy, which will help you to think about your business and ideal audience in more depth.
Ideally, you would already have a clear idea of your target audience, business purpose, services/products, and also a general idea of what visual styles your target audience may like or dislike when you book your project.
-
You're able to cancel your project by giving 7 days written notice via email. Any deposit paid is non-refundable.
