Being An Introverted Creative

Who Struggles With Self-Promoting

“My voice may not be the loudest, but it is equally important”

When was the last time you read an article, and you found yourself nodding along like crazy as everything just spoke volumes to you? For me, it was when I read "How to Promote Yourself Online When You’re a Total Introvert", an article on the 99u website by Sabrina Hall.⁣

If you're a fellow #introvert like me, you'll be more than aware of how tiring and anxiety-inducing self-promotion can be. Example: I've only posted about my newsletter once on my Instagram, and I'm honestly dreading having to do it more as self-promoting doesn't come easily to me 😥

In online spaces where everyone is essentially posting for attention (with the extroverts seemingly shouting out the loudest) it can be hard to see that your voice is just as important if you're a more reserved person. But don't let that stop you from making your voice heard! There are ways you can share without it being completely draining and overwhelming, you just need to find what works for you!

I use my Instagram to share my ideas and perspective in the hope that someone relates to it and is maybe inspired to do the same, and I hope that this post does exactly that 🖤⁣

Check out the 99u article for tips on how to navigate social media in a more meaningful way, and let me know if you put them into practice.⁣
