Editorial-inspired website design for a brand and portrait photographer

Celie Nigoumi is a brand, portrait and editorial photographer, and when she came to me about redesigning her website, she had a clear problem:

  • Multiple services felt disconnected and hard to find

  • Her site was on a problematic platform (Wix, an Israeli-owned company) that conflicted with her values

  • She had zero excitement about sending people there

Through The Catalyst, we moved her over to Squarespace, mapped her photography offers in a way that felt intuitive and compelling, and gave her the space to boldly show off her values and personality without needing to fit in with the masses.

Now she has a website that reflects who she is as an artist, showcases her work in a way that stands out in a crowded industry, and in her own words:

I F*CKING LOVE IT! I’ve never been so excited to direct people to my website because I am so proud of how my photographs are presented on there now!
— Celie Nigoumi

In Celie’s Words:

“Choosing to work with Dom was the best decision I've made all year! Her curiosity, expertise, organisation and design skills made the whole process smooth and easy whilst being extremely valuable. I am now actually excited to send people to my photography website for the first time in 8 years! It really feels like me, showcases my photographs beautifully and stands out against a crowded industry - it's perfect!”

Curious if The Catalyst would work for you?

You’d be the perfect fit for The Catalyst if…

  • You’re in the messy middle of growth, and your old site just doesn’t fit anymore. You need a digital home that holds where you’ve been and where you’re going.

  • You’re brilliant at what you do, but your website is years out of date…and it shows on your face when you tell people about it! You’re ready for a site that reflects your confidence and actually supports your business.

  • You’re ready to lead, stand out, and show up with a site that says: “I’m here to rock the boat, b*tches”.  Good enough isn’t cutting it anymore, you want something dynamic and distinctive, something that’s YOU.

  • You want clarity, not fluff. No trends for trend’s sake. You want a website that works beautifully, feels like you, and reflects how you show up in the world.

If any of these points sound eerily familiar - I reckon you’re ready to make the most of The Catalyst.
